The Last Sin Eater

Recently we rented the movie, "The Last Sin Eater." It was AWESOME!

It had surprisingly great acting and was an extremely well-told story. However, I would not recommend it for young audiences because of some violence and a few very tense scenes that have you on the edge of your seat, but nothing excessive.
It also has a very powerful message about forgiveness that will truly touch you.
I've also included the trailer below(the trailer shows very little of the story).

Rich Praytor on the Slip N Slide

Edit - We have removed the Rich Praytor video. The reason for this is that we have found other routines of his, as well as his show "Prank 3:16", to feature crude and ungodly humor. We feel that we can in no way support his "ministry" and pray that God will work in his heart, as his work is indeed funny, particularly when it is not crass.

Thanks and God bless!

LTE Update

Alright, so I thought I'd update on Loving the Enemy. It is finished, although we have been unable to get the coloring exactly how we want it to be. This may be fixed, but then again it may not.
The current and I think about the millionth problem we've had with Pinnacle (our video editor) is that it won't burn a DVD. We've got a snazzy menu created and the music we bought sounds pretty sweet but that means nothing if it's stuck on the computer.
We've tried to convert it from a Pinnacle file to a Windows Media file but the coloring ended up super bright and the sound was out for about half the movie. I just have a feeling that film festivals reject movies that have no sound, so until we can get a good version burned, we will not be submitting the film to any festivals.
In other news, Dominic and I have filmed our introductions for the 'Special Features' section of the commercial version of Loving the Enemy. It took me about 20 takes to say exactly what I wanted to say, but I got 'er done. It took Dominic about 4 takes. I guess acting's not my strong point (I never said it was, mind you!).
Today I started on a special production photo montage for the commercial DVD, accompanied by our original score... which isn't so original since we bought it online... but it sure does sound great!
So, we've bought Adobe Production Studio Premium Academic Edition which we hope to have by the end of the week. That should be the end of our major editing problems.
Please pray that this film will just burn soon. It's not always easy for us to deal with but God's time isn't always ours. It's a hard reality sometimes, nevertheless . And I know it'll get done just when He thinks it's best. I know that He's taught me a ton through this project, not only artistically but spiritually.
Anyways, I'd better get going. We appreciate your prayers.

God bless!

Geno

P.S. I don't know if anyone's noticed, but we're using Courier font-type on our posts. For those of you who aren't screenwriters, that probably means nothing. For those of us who are screenwriters, it doesn't mean much, except that that's the font you use when writing a screenplay. Just thought I'd add that.
Oh, and no, we usually don't write our screenplays with red letters. Dominic's making me do that for some reason. Normally in scripts you just use black lettering... but there's always room for change. Maybe I should make that change *feels rush of inspiration*... Forget it, I hate change. I'm just gonna leave it how it is. I like it that way. Even if someone else changes it I'll probably keep using the old way... that's just the way I am. Sue me. It's our blog. I'm not changing. Bye!

Botox Ad

Okay, I saw this ad in Consumer Reports' 'goofs-glitches-gotchas' section and had to make my own. Dominic took the picture and fixed them up on the computer. We scanned the original ad for your viewing pleasure (you may have to click on the actual pic to see it well). Hope you enjoy!

God bless!

Loving the Enemy

Halleluja!!!
The editing for Loving the Enemy is finally done! All we have to do now is add one visual effect and start burnin' DVD's. Because of our previous misfortunes with the edit of this movie (the program erased it twice) we are a bit behind schedule, but we will most likely get it into the SAICFF. All the glory of this project goes straight to God, without Whom we would probably have given up completely on this project.

-Dominic

P.S. We will keep you all posted on our run in the SAICFF, and our future film projects.

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! We are finally up. I hope you enjoy reading our random(and sometimes pointless)posts. Please realize that this blog is intended for friends and family to get caught up on our happenings. That doesn't mean we don't want anyone else reading it, it just means that that is its intended purpose. Please also realize that there are actually five people posting: Sam, Geno, Jake, Dominic, and Anthony. Not each of us shares the same opinion in all matters. For instance, not each of us likes every band we have in our "favorite music" section; we've just combined all of our favorites into it. Anyway, again I hope you enjoy yourself.

-Dominic and Geno

P.S. We may at a later time start a different blog or even a website devoted to other things, such as our filmmaking or writing, but for now this blog is for everything. We will be sure to post if we do get a new blog or website. Bye!
