Always Pray

"Always Pray" is a poem that I found in my school curriculum Bible. It is one of the best poems I've ever read. It kind of reminds me of the theme in "Facing the Giants" "We have to praise God when we win and praise Him when we lose".

Here's the Poem:

When King Darius signed the law that anyone who prayed
Be cast into the lions' den, then Daniel, undismayed,
Knelt down to pray three times each day, a window opened wide,
Although some jealous enemies were watching him outside
They hurried to the palace court in wicked, spiteful glee,
Demanding that this favored prince should pay the penalty.

The King Darius grieved in vain; he neither ate nor slept.
The law unchanging had been signed; the order must be kept.
An angel locked the lions' jaws and stilled their savage roar,
While Daniel spent the night in peace upon the dungeon floor.

Pray when you're faced with obstacles; pray when the way is clear;
Pray when you feel you're being watched; pray when no one is near.
Pray when your day is going wrong, and when it seems all right;
Look to the Lord at early morn, at noontime, and at night.
Don't limit God because your faith is wavering or small,
But come to Him with every need, He'll surely hear your call.

Hope you got something out of this like I did.

In Christ,
Anth
