Saints and Soldiers

This is an incredible movie. I didn't include it in my last post though, because it deserves separate treatment. For one, it is supposedly a mormon movie. However, any possible mormon messages in the movie line up with Christianity. Had I not known, I would have guessed it to be a Christian film. In fact, the only thing in the movie that even seems to be mormon in any way is that the one character, who says he used to be a missionary, prays, and carries a Bible with him, is said to not drink coffee and cheerfully refuses it at one point. That's it.

I'd also like to note that the regular edition, according to what others have said, has language in it. However, I own the edited version, which has no language and can be purchased here or here.

One more thing: the film has some war violence which warrants the PG-13 rating. It is never gratuitous and not all that plentiful, but still probably not the best thing for really young children. There are also some suspenseful parts.

And one final thing: at one point in the film, a German grabs a French woman and it appears he's going to sexually assault her, but he is shot before anything can happen. There is no skin shown at all.

I'd also like to note that this in an Indie movie, meaning it is not a product of Hollywood. It won numerous awards at film festivals and you would never guess it was made for less than $1 million dollars, because it is such a wonderfully made film. Just goes to prove once again that great films can be made with small budgets outside of Hollywood. This is a fine example of exactly that.

Here's the incredible trailer:

God bless!

P.S. Saints and Soldiers is actually similar to our film: Loving the Enemy. I never intended this when I was writing but it just turned out that way. BTW, we are doing everything in our power to get LTE off of the computer. Please pray for us, as nothing seems to be working and our deadlines are fast approaching. As says the central theme in Facing the Giants: All things are possible with God.
